Meeting limits: participants, length, recordings
- Audience: App users
Last updated
Every CallSprout plan includes video meetings for small groups. If you need bigger or longer meetings, the Video meetings add-on removes the limits.
What every plan includes
| Limit | What every plan includes |
|---|---|
| People in a meeting, counting the organizer | Up to 3 participants |
| Length of a meeting | Up to 45 minutes |
| Recording | Not on included meetings (Meetings add-on only) |
Every account can host a meeting. The organizer counts toward the participant limit, so an included meeting is you plus two others. Guests who join from a browser need no app. You start and schedule meetings in Communicator, which comes with the Communicator apps add-on. No Communicator? You can still host. Schedule meetings from your user portal. See start an instant meeting.
What you'll see near a limit
- Time. On a meeting with a length limit, everyone sees a countdown notice a few minutes before the maximum length. If you join during those last minutes, you see the exact time left. Wrap up before the countdown reaches zero.
- People. If you add more people than your limit allows, the app may show a message about too many invitees.
Recording
Recording is available only on meetings hosted with the Video meetings add-on. On those meetings, a Record button in Communicator saves a recording on your own computer. Meeting controls shows where it is.
Recording laws vary by state. Your company is responsible for any notice or consent they require.
Remove the limits
This feature needs the Video meetings add-on on your account. See plans and pricing
With the Video meetings add-on, the participant and length limits no longer apply, and you can record meetings. To add it, ask your admin or contact CallSprout support. What each plan and add-on includes lists the other add-ons.
If you're not sure which limit applies to you, ask your admin.
