Hide or change the number you call from

The number people see when you call them is your caller ID. Your admin sets your usual caller ID. From your desk phone you can hide it, or pick another number from a list your admin has allowed for you.

Hide your number on one call

   Step 1:

   Dial the one call code

   Dial *81.

   Step 2:

   Dial the number you're calling

   The person you call won't see your number. Your next call shows it as usual.

Hide your number until you turn it back on

   Step 1:

   Dial the block code

   Dial *67. Your number stays hidden on every call you make, not just the next one.

   Step 2:

   Show your number again

   When you want people to see your number, dial *68.

If you're not sure whether your number is hidden, dial *68 before your next call.

Call from another company number

If your admin has given you a list of caller IDs you're allowed to use, you can choose one for a call.

   Step 1:

   Dial the alternate caller ID code

   Dial *65.

   Step 2:

   Pick the caller ID

   Dial the entry number of the caller ID you want from your list. Your admin can tell you which entry is which.

   Step 3:

   Dial the number you're calling

   The call goes out showing the caller ID you picked.

If you dial an entry that isn't on your list, the call won't go through. If you use Communicator on your computer, you can pick from the same list in the app instead.

Troubleshooting

• The person you called still saw your number, or saw nothing. Your admin may control caller ID for your extension. Ask them to check your settings.
• You need a number that isn't on your list. Ask your admin to add it.
