You can work your queues without opening the agent desktop. From a desk phone on your system, these star codes sign you in and out, pause you and set you to not ready.

The codes
| Dial | To |
|---|---|
| *203 | Sign in to your queues. Dial it again to sign out. |
| *204 then a reason code | Pause with a reason, or end your pause. |
| *205 | Set yourself to not ready. It's a kind of pause, so queue calls stop coming to you. |
Each pause reason your company sets up, such as a lunch break or a meeting, has its own number. Ask your admin for the list of reason codes.
Sign in from a phone
- Step 1:Dial the login codeFrom a phone on your system, dial *203.
- Step 2:Enter your agent detailsKey in your agent number when asked, then your PIN if you have one. On some systems you key the agent number in straight after the code instead.
- Step 3:Say where to ring youWhen asked, enter the extension or phone number where queue calls should reach you.
To sign out, dial the same code again.
Pause and come back
- Step 1:Dial the pause codeDial *204, then the reason code.
- Step 2:End the pauseWhen you're ready for calls again, dial *204 and the reason code the same way.
What to expect
- A pause keeps you signed in, but new queue calls skip you until it ends.
- You can still place calls while paused. Each call you place adds one more pause entry to your pause statistics.
- Your agent number may be tied to one phone. If so, the codes only sign you in from that phone.
- To do the same in the agent panel, see sign in as an agent, go available and pause.
