Communicator's settings let you make the app fit how you work. Changes may save as you make them, and some may apply only to the computer you make them on.
This feature needs the Communicator apps add-on on your account. See plans and pricing
Some labels in your portal or apps may look slightly different from this guide.
Open your settings
Select Settings at the bottom of the sidebar. The General Settings panel groups settings into sections: Phone, Audio, Alerts, Modules, Meeting, Chat, CRM, Appearance and Other. You may also see Busylight. Some versions call this window Preferences.

- Step 2:Pick a languageChoose it from the language list. On the web sign in screen, there's also a language option.
- Step 3:Pick a themeChoose light, navy blue or dark. The web app may also offer to follow your system.
If your language isn't in the list, contact support.
Change how calls ring
Open Settings, then Phone. Look for ring volume and ringtone choices. Some versions offer a default tone, silence, or your own tone in mp3 or wav format, and may ask you to restart the app. Alerts for incoming calls are under Alerts, where you can choose which notifications you get.
To pick which phones ring, see Use softphone, desk phone or cell for calls. To pick your headset, see Use a headset with Communicator.
Choose what happens at startup
Look in Other for the startup behavior. Some versions let you start Communicator when you sign in to your computer and sign in to the app automatically.
Set what search does when you press Enter
Under Other, you can choose the default action in contact search: call, chat, SMS or meeting. The app asks you to choose the first time you use it.
Use a Busylight
If you have a Busylight, open Busylight in Settings. You can set a color for Available, Busy, Away and Do Not Disturb, and a ringtone and volume for incoming calls. A live preview shows your changes. It works in CallSprout Communicator NEXT on Windows and Mac, and in Chromium based browsers. It doesn't work on Linux, or in Safari or Firefox.
