Export or email call history
- Audience: Admins
Last updated
You can take call history out of the admin portal as a spreadsheet file, send call details by email, or print them. For call totals over a period, use the call summary instead.
Some labels in your portal or apps may look slightly different from this guide.
Download a CSV file
- Step 1:Open call historyGo to Reports, then CDR.
- Step 2:Search for the calls you wantSet the dates and any filters, then select the search icon. Find a past call in call history explains each filter.
- Step 3:DownloadSelect Download CSV. The file holds the calls your search returned, and you can open it in a spreadsheet app.
Email call details
- Step 1:Pick the callsSearch call history, then tick the calls you want to send.
- Step 2:Select EmailSelect Email and type the address that should get the details.
- Step 3:Choose what to sendRead the next prompt carefully. OK sends every call on the current page. Cancel sends only the calls you ticked, and it doesn't stop the email.
"The page" means the rows on screen right now, not every result of your search. How many rows a page holds is a call history setting, and you can type a page number to jump to another page. For every result at once, download a CSV file instead.
Print a call
Tick a call and select Print. A print window opens with that call's details.
Get totals for a period
The call summary adds up your calls instead of listing them one by one.
- Step 1:Open the summaryGo to Reports, then CDR Summary.
- Step 2:Choose a date rangeSet the Date Range you want totals for.
- Step 3:Group the totalsSet Group by to Whole range, Quarterly, Monthly or Yearly.
For counts by day or by user, see see call statistics by day, user and number.
What to expect
- Export only covers what's still in call history, which goes back 1 year. Export anything you need to keep longer. See how long are recordings, voicemail and faxes kept?
- Users can export their own calls from their user portal.
