Plug in a headset and choose it in Communicator. Some headsets can also answer calls and mute from their own buttons, if you turn that on.
This feature needs the Communicator apps add-on on your account. See plans and pricing
Some labels in your portal or apps may look slightly different from this guide.
Choose your audio devices
- Step 1:Connect your headsetPlug it in or pair it with your computer.
- Step 2:Open Audio settingsSelect Settings, then Audio.
- Step 3:Pick your devicesChoose your microphone, your speakers and the device that rings when a call comes in. You can use different devices for each.
- Step 4:Test itUse the test buttons next to each device, if your version has them, then place a call.
In the web app, the same choices are under Preferences, then Audio. You may also be able to change devices during a call from the sound button in the call window.
Turn on button control
Some versions list headset integration options on the Audio page. Turning one on lets your headset's buttons answer, hold and similar actions. You may see choices for Poly (Plantronics), Jabra, EPOS Sennheiser, Yealink and VT. If you use Poly, the Plantronics Hub program needs to be running on your computer.
