You can join a CallSprout video meeting from a web browser. You don't need an app, an extension or a CallSprout account. The browser page only joins meetings. Every CallSprout account can host meetings, and organizers usually start and schedule them in Communicator.
Before you start
You need the meeting number from the organizer, or the join link they sent. For a private meeting, you also need to use the email address the organizer invited.
Your browser will ask to use your camera and microphone. See allow camera, mic and screen sharing if it doesn't.
Join the meeting
- Step 1:Open the join pageSelect the join link in your invitation. Or go to proxy.callsprout.com in your browser, or your company's own callsprout.com address if the organizer is on Contact Center Pro. A link fills in the meeting number for you.
- Step 2:Enter your detailsFill in Enter meeting number, Enter your name and Enter Email. Others see the name you type. You can also use Change profile image to add a photo.
- Step 3:Check your audio and videoChoose whether you join muted and with your camera on. Pick your camera, speaker and microphone from the drop-down lists, and select Test speaker to hear a sound. You can blur your background or replace it, including with an image you upload.
- Step 4:JoinSelect Join Meeting. If your details check out, you join the meeting with audio and video.
The page can show in several languages. Use the language menu at the top right to switch.
Private and public meetings
- Private meeting. Use the exact email address the organizer invited. Any other address won't get you in.
- Public meeting. Any valid email address works.
If you've joined from the same browser before, your name, email and photo may already be filled in.
What to expect
If the meeting has a length limit, everyone sees a countdown notice a few minutes before it ends. If you join during those last minutes, you see the exact time left. See meeting limits.
Troubleshooting
- You see a message that your details are wrong. Check the meeting number first. For a private meeting, make sure the email matches the one the organizer invited, and ask them if you're not sure.
- Nobody can see or hear you. Check that your browser allowed the camera and microphone, and that you picked the right devices on the setup panel.
