Sign in to Communicator GO with the QR code from your welcome email

Your welcome email can include a QR code. Scanning it with Communicator GO fills in your email, password and host, so you don't have to type them.

This feature needs the Communicator apps add-on on your account. See plans and pricing

Some labels in your portal or apps may look slightly different from this guide.

Before you start

Open your welcome email on a computer or another screen, so you can point your phone at the code. Install the app first. See Install and sign in to Communicator GO.

Scan the code

   Step 1:

   Open the app

   Start Communicator GO on your phone. On Android, accept the Terms and Conditions when they appear.

   Start the scan

   On the sign in screen, select Scan QR code. Your phone's camera opens.

   Point at the code

   Hold your phone so the QR code from the email fits on the screen. The sign in fields fill in on their own.

   Choose a new password

   The app asks you to replace the password you were given. Enter a new one twice and continue.

Troubleshooting

• Your email has no QR code. Your account may not be set up for it. Sign in with your email and password instead, or ask your admin.
• The Host field is empty after the scan, or sign in fails. The code depends on a setting on your system. Contact support and we'll check it.
• The phone can't read the code. Move closer, raise the screen brightness and hold the phone steady. You can type your details instead.
