Communicator GO puts your CallSprout line on your phone, so you can make and take business calls, check voicemail and chat from anywhere.

This feature needs the Communicator apps add-on on your account. See plans and pricing

Some labels in your portal or apps may look slightly different from this guide.

Before you start

Your welcome email has the email address and password you need. If you can't find it, ask your admin to send your details again.

Install the app

Use the download link from your welcome email or our downloads page to install the app on your iPhone or Android phone. It also runs on an iPad.

The app store listing shows our platform partner's name. That's expected.

  1. Step 1:
    Open the app
On Android, accept the Terms and Conditions when they appear. If you decline, the app closes.
  2. Step 2:
    Enter your email and password
Use the email address on your extension and the password from your welcome email.
  3. Step 3:
    Check the Host field
Enter proxy.callsprout.com, or on Contact Center Pro your company's own callsprout.com address, which CallSprout gives you. If your company has automatic discovery set up, you can leave it blank. If the app says DNS resolution failed, type the address in.
  4. Step 4:
    Sign in and allow permissions
Android asks for permissions, such as the microphone, contacts, phone calls and notifications. Allow them so calls and alerts work.
  5. Step 5:
    Choose a new password
The first time, the app asks you to replace the one you were given. Type it twice, then select Next. The button stays off until both entries match and follow the rules: a strong mix of letters, numbers and symbols.

If you have a QR code in your welcome email, sign in with the QR code instead.

Good to know

  • To unlock the app with your fingerprint or face, open the app's settings, select Security and turn it on. Your phone's own fingerprint or face unlock has to be on too.
  • If your account uses two step verification, sign in may also ask for a code from your authenticator app.

Troubleshooting

  • You forgot your password. Fill in your email and host, select Forgot password and confirm in the dialog. If that doesn't get you in, ask your admin to reset it.
  • The app can't connect. The app and your system need compatible versions. Make sure the app is up to date, then contact support.
  • The app warns that the connection isn't secure. Don't continue. Contact support.
