CallSprout + Deepgram
Deepgram's speech-to-text is one of the engines behind CallSprout's live transcription, turning recorded calls in your extensions, ring groups and queues into text while the conversation is still going. Available for Deepgram.
How CallSprout works with Deepgram.
Live transcription on CallSprout writes out recorded calls in extensions, ring groups and queues as they happen, so supervisors and the tools you connect can follow a conversation without waiting for it to end. Turning speech into text that fast takes a dedicated speech engine, and Deepgram is one of the providers that can do it.
Deepgram is built for real-time speech recognition. When it is the provider on your account, the audio from those recorded calls streams to Deepgram, and the text comes back while the call is still in progress. Options such as punctuation, smart formatting, key terms for words your callers use often, and redaction of sensitive details can be set depending on the Deepgram model in use.
The provider for live transcription on recorded calls is set for each account, and we choose it with you. Some setups use your own Deepgram account. When they do, Deepgram's terms and usage charges apply to that account.
CallSprout and Deepgram, working together.
What Sage does once your call data flows into the tools you already use.
Live transcription on recorded calls in extensions, ring groups and queues comes back during the conversation, not after it ends.
Punctuation, formatting and key terms can be adjusted so names, products and industry words come through correctly, depending on the Deepgram model.
Deepgram can mask sensitive details such as card numbers in the text it returns, when the model and settings in use support it.
What Deepgram does inside CallSprout
Deepgram does one job here: speech to text, fast. CallSprout decides which calls are included, handles the recording, and sends the text to the places you set up, such as the live view your supervisors watch or your own software. Deepgram turns the audio into words in between.
Live transcription only runs on calls that are recorded, and only in the extensions, ring groups and queues where you turn it on. Recording and disclosure handling are configurable for each deployment. Requirements vary by state and by call type, so you remain responsible for confirming what notice or consent your jurisdiction requires.
Choosing Deepgram or another provider
CallSprout can run live transcription on Deepgram, Google Cloud Speech-to-Text, AWS or OpenAI. Each has its own models and settings. We help you pick based on your calls, your languages and whether you want the work to run under an account you already have.
When Deepgram is the provider, the audio from recorded calls in the extensions, ring groups and queues you chose is sent to Deepgram for processing. We go through what is sent where during setup.
