CallSprout + AWS

Speech recognition from Amazon Web Services is one of the engines behind CallSprout's live transcription for recorded calls in your extensions, ring groups and queues, with text arriving while the conversation is still going. Available for AWS.

Overview

How CallSprout works with AWS.

Live transcription on CallSprout writes out recorded calls in extensions, ring groups and queues as they happen, so supervisors and the tools you connect can follow along without waiting for the call to end. Amazon Web Services is one of the providers that can do that work, through its real-time speech recognition service.

When AWS is the provider on your account, the audio from those recorded calls streams to AWS and the text comes back while the call is still in progress. Teams that already run on AWS often prefer to keep this work in the cloud they know.

The provider for live transcription on recorded calls is set for each account, and we choose it with you. Some setups use your own AWS account. When they do, AWS's terms and usage charges apply to that account, and the account needs access to real-time speech recognition.

What you get

CallSprout and AWS, working together.

What Sage does once your call data flows into the tools you already use.

Text while the call is live

Live transcription on recorded calls in extensions, ring groups and queues comes back during the conversation, not after it ends.

Runs in AWS

If your business already uses AWS, the speech recognition for these calls can run in a cloud your IT team already manages.

Set per ring group and queue

You choose which extensions, ring groups and queues use live transcription for recorded calls, so it runs only where it is useful.

What AWS does inside CallSprout

AWS handles the speech recognition. CallSprout decides which calls are included, handles the recording, and sends the text to the places you set up, such as the live view your supervisors watch or your own software. AWS turns the audio into words in between.

Live transcription only runs on calls that are recorded, and only in the extensions, ring groups and queues where you turn it on. Recording and disclosure handling are configurable for each deployment. Requirements vary by state and by call type, so you remain responsible for confirming what notice or consent your jurisdiction requires.

Choosing AWS or another provider

Live transcription for recorded calls on CallSprout can run on AWS, Deepgram, Google Cloud Speech-to-Text or OpenAI. We help you pick based on your calls, your languages and the cloud accounts you already have.

When AWS is the provider, the audio from recorded calls in the extensions, ring groups and queues you chose is sent to AWS for processing. We go through what is sent where during setup.
