Since becoming President & CEO of the Research Park at FAU in 2011 the Research Park’s contribution to the region’s economy has surged, largely due to the repositioning efforts Duffell has implemented. The Research Park has been re-branded to become highly visible, re-engaged in the business and higher education community and its relationships with leaders throughout the region have been strengthened and as a result, the Research Park is perceived as a valuable asset in the region’s economic development efforts.
Andrew talked about the Research Park, what they do, and who they serve. He is looking forward to some exciting new developments over the next five years. Andrew and his team understand the importance of education and collaboration. They are very involved in the community including the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce and their YEA Boca Chamber program.
Andrew talked about the business climate in Boca Raton and Palm Beach County, some of the biggest challenges startups face, and the two biggest challenges technology companies deal with as they grow.
